I think it's an improvement. RTwP is in my opinion too easy to do wrong, compared to turn based. About the only game I can think of that did RTwP well is Pillars of Eternity 2.

Makes sense, considering it's being done by the devs behind DOS. They have turn-based down to a science.

Prefer it if it comes to console. Controlling Pillars of Eternity can be a mess. Can you set characters to a.i. though?

Sounds fine to me, I'm much more concerned about this being a sequel to a game series that has been dead for 20 years by a completely different company.

I almost prefer pause-play-pause combat flow with these games but idk. I don't have a lot of experience with turnbased RPGs.

I prefer how the Divinity:Original Sin 2 plays compared to how Pillars 2 and Baldurs Gates 1 and 2 played, so its a win-win for me.
