What's something people use to protect themselves and others when dealing with an open wound? Latex gloves. Ever actually watch police body cams where someone is shot or hurt? "I gotta glove up" or they glove up just prior. It's not just purely to prevent spreading finger prints. The first guy killed was also seen getting in the other people's face demanding them to shoot him with the N-word. He also apparently had priors. My favorite comment I've seen so far is that the protestors that were just moments before bashing cars or settings fires were trying to take a loaded rifle from him for 'public safety'. Yeah, ok... I want you to seriously think for a moment how much more damage or deaths one of these upstanding citizens could have done if they took it. Obviously some aren't banging on all cylinders as they decided to run around in the streets after curfew literally begging to be shot, so let's give them a loaded weapon that's not legally bound to them. That said I still don't think he should have been there at all, as the best way to avoid having to use self defense is to not be in a position to need it. Unfortunately once they started throwing stuff and going after him things went out the window. I also agree with a comment I saw on youtube. No matter which side you're on, you gotta admit he had great composure and control only hitting those that were a confirmed threat and only when within arms reach. If it's true the gun belonged to someone in the proximity then it might be more 'ok'. However, it still kinda boils down to what I said about not putting yourself in a dangerous situation in the first place. If he wasn't there, he wouldn't have been attacked, thus not forced to shoot someones. That's probably where it'll be tough. The rendering medical aid assistance for both sides is cool and all, but still not really his job/duty legally. Seems more of a person with good intentions had a questionably possessed firearm that unfortunately wound up using it.
