Well. Just saw a clip of the victim and he was defending Jeremy Christian (the guy who stabbed and killed people on the train after giving a racist diatribe and threatening some girls on the max train). Apparently it was dated to within a day of the slayings. So. Yeah, I'm gonna say that it was definitely an act of self defense from the guy who shot him, the victim was closing in and definitely armed with mace and who knows what else.

Did the victim throw a plastic bag at the shooter? According to a lot of people that would make it a justified shooting in self-defense.
