Of course a parent is going to put more emphasis on someone they literally brought into this world over some stranger they haven't built a relationship with. As far as her time goes, you just have to accept going in that there's gonna be more effort required to make it work. However she shouldn't feel the need to essentially reiterate that as it is insulting. It's basically common sense. It's a deal-breaker because being a single parent inherently changes the dynamic of a relationship, what each party wants and needs out of it, and my wants, needs and values don't align with someone who's raising a child. My values are that I want to enter into an equal partnership with someone and build a life with them together. Dating a single parent wouldn't align with my values in regards to dating.
