i have TOO MUCH SHIT and after holding out for a while, it might be time to go digital

been looking into ereaders and i'm leaning towards kindle paperweight right now. the convenience seems unreal when i'm looking at the features. $130 on amazon

but it's $150 for a "no ads" version. what the FUCK

I just use the kindle app on my phone/desktop tbh

works great for me (though your mileage may vary as to whether you mind reading books off your phone screen)

I use an older paperwhite model that I am quite happy with. No ads version isn't worth it imo. You just see a book ad on the lock screen

i hate reading on my phone and that's one of the reasons i was looking into a dedicated device

usually i would just bring a copy of a book along with me when i go outside

Try and find a good condition pre-owned Kindle Voyage. Best model (IMO), no ads, and sadly they don't make them any more. I got mine from eBay a few months ago and am very happy with it.

i have a paperwhite from 2013 and it is great. the battery lasts about a month. if you just want a device to read ebooks, paperwhite is the way to go. if you want more of a multi-purpose tablet, you'll have to look at other products

i highly recommend not getting the version with ads, but it's ultimately up to you! the people i know that have ads on their kindles are less happy with it

here's my pitch, and then i'll stop: if someone offered you a twenty dollar bill to permanently turn off your adblockers, would you?

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

The ads are basically non existent, so it's up to you which to go with. You can also pay the 20 later to get rid of the ads at any time.

E Readers are much better for your eyes than phone screens so it's a good switch to make.

i'm most likely getting ad-less. seeing them puts me in a bad mood and obviously not ideal when i want to read something.

anybody read graphic novels/manga on theirs? i know there's no color but eh.

Reading manga works quite well, most of the time. Text can sometimes be small but you can zoom in if that happens.

yes. that's usually how advertising works. i'm not certain this works for kindes so you can try doing research to see if it does, but i don't imagine it doesn't
