Eh. I'm townie. I went to college locally, so in my early 20s I did have out with more people, but ultimately I've more or less had the same 3 friends for most of my life.

One of my bros did get married and move like 1.5 hours away. He's having a kid now. Definitely miss seeing him more often

This but like late 20s

Wife and I had a recent falling out with a large portion of our friend group. It kind of sucked at first but then we realized that all they all wanted to do was hang out at each other's houses, get plastered drunk and puke everywhere then bitch about how shitty their lives were. We don't really drink and our lives are awesome and we're actively working on making them more awesome.

People like that just hold you back

I had a decent sized friend group in HS, than as my 20s progressed they fell by the way side weather it was through disagreements, distancing due to growing up, or whatever. I'm down to one friend ive been able to hold onto from the good ol days of childhood, who i get to attend his wedding when this pandemic ends, and 2 or 3 friends i acquired through my last job. In high school i'd say i had like 10-12 friends to close best friends, now i have 3, one i rarely see, one i see fairly often (like once a week, maybe twice), and the other every other month, but thats like life.

My early 20s was a lot more "sociable" but late 20s realized it was high time to get things done.

Yeah I kinda cut half my friends out of my life once I started realizing this.

The flip side is that of the people that were left, a good half of them decided the same thing about me.

I must be blessed. My best friend group of like 12 people from middle school is still really tight in our mid twenties and I have other small groups of friends I feel very close with as well. Reading this thread just gets me down.
