Not a fan of this at all, prefer to binge watch my stuff. But I guess this isn't the first time Amazon prime tried to do this before with their shows.

Amazon must be hurting for new original content. Netflix seems to be fine. Amazon and Hulu seem to not be okay rn though.

Yeah, this seems lame to me. I'd rather they just release them all at once. Oh well.

I only watch one episode per show per day. Binge watching doesn't allow you to soak an episode if you watch them back to back.

Hulu had a fantastic show in Reprisal and they cancelled it, i'm so damn irritated

As for The Boys, that kinda sucks it will be weekly, but i'll deal. I'm just glad it's like 10 days away, been looking forward to it for a while

Yah. One episode per show per day, but I have multiple shows.

For instance I'm currently running

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3
Fresh of the Boat Season 2
Better Call Saul Season 4
Steven Universe Season 3

That's ~110 minutes of television time a day.

Yeah thats a shame theyve decided to copy these other services like HBO and Disney but at least theyre giving us the first three instead of just the first.

This, except I still binge watch anyway even though I know it's not good for me compared to more spaced out watches.

I couldn't do this. I'll watch a show, 3-4 episodes a day unless i'm real hooked, until it's finished and then move on to the next. The exception is if it's airing live, like Lovecraft Country, then i'm limited to one episode a week.

What differences do you experience when binge watching vs spacing out the episodes?

I would say give it a solid try. I've finished so many shows this way. Most recently

HBO Spawn
From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series
East Bound and Down
Vice Principals
The Boys
The Tick
Jean Claude Van Johnson

Why rush something you want to enjoy? That's like inhaling filet mignon rather than savoring the flavor imo.

I wonder if amazons struggling to have their shows take off has anything to do with how much their app sucks

like, its very clear from the design that theit priority is pushing non-prime rentals and purchases rather than making the prime-included content easy to navigate

their season separation sucks, and their highlighting of available prime content sucks

prime is literally the last streaming service out of the ones I have (Netflix, Hulu, hbo, Disney) that I go to when Im looking to watch something

Some damn good shows there, I liked them all except I never watched Jean Claude. I watched The Boys in two days, I couldn't get enough.

I'm about halfway through Teenage Bounty Hunters right now, I don't think i'm gonna finish it, it's not really my kind of thing. It was getting praise on CE so I gave it a fair shot.

I think it's more so that Prime Video is a byproduct instead of an actual focus for Amazon. It seems like they're totally okay with doing as little as possible to actually support it, just like a lot of their other projects.

That being said, Hulu really shit the bed with their new design also. It's absolutely God awful and was an obvious push to get the less watched shows out in public rn due to a lack of new content. But the only things worth watching on it are all on a regularly scheduled hiatus anyways. So they're pushing absolute shit lol their UI design is almost the exact opposite of Amazon's and they're both failing imo. Netflix, for all its faults, has the best design and it isn't even close.
