From what I hear the typical brawler sections are solid and pretty fun, the problem is the game switches up genres all the time and that kills the game.

from what i've seen and heard the game is really fun, but there isn't that many enemy varieties

it just seems like a mindless beat em up but with none of the challenge of older beat em up games

and all the voice acting is so badly delivered and just cringe in general and why does battletoads need voice acting lol

Didn't the original battletoads only have like 3 beat em up stages out of 10?

Why is everyone surprised it did the same thing now?

I was expecting it to be total crap, but it's actually pretty decent.

The combat is satisfying and it's a lot more balanced than the original games.

It's no where near as good as Streets of Rage 4, but it's still probably the best Battletoads game...

I was never very good at the old school games, dont think I ever got past the first vehicle levels

but this one just seems way too easy, like did they really need to add a dodge button that just instantly gets you out of danger or have every enemy telegraph their attacks with a huge !!!!! every time

even the boss fights are constantly giving you ways to heal your health back up

Probably because the pacing and transitions were better in the original game.
