Amid the criticism that Biden hasnt taken a definitive stance on legalization, its easy to lose track of how far ahead he is of any other major-party presidential nominee in history in terms of changing marijuana policy. Hed decriminalize use, which would mean fines instead of jail time, and move to expunge records for using. Hed remove federal enforcement in states that have legalized the drug. Thats further, by far, than Donald Trump, or Barack Obama, has gone. Biden would move marijuana off as a Schedule 1 narcotic, the same category as heroin, but would not take it off the illegal-drugs schedule entirely, so that federal law would treat it the way it does alcohol or nicotine.

Here's this at least. Huge step forward

Why should a drug that is going to ruin lots of lives be legalized? We legalized it in Illinois and there was a spike in vehicle accidents. Marijuana is going to increase cases of psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Just de criminalize small amounts and make it medicinal in every state. No need for recreational, people have proven to be extremely stupid already what with buying up all the toilet paper, driving with masks on and losing consciousness and refusing to wear masks and such. This country is full of a bunch of selfish, ignorant fools. No to recreational Marijuana.

Trump kind of proved how good no change can be to an alternative. Which sucks even more in hindsight. We're so far backwards that the next guy can stand still for 4 years and look like he's doing a good job. All he's gotta do is not use twitter with the grace of a 14 year old and not show support for white supremacy. Hell, supporting white supremacists on the down low will now seem respectful in comparison. Also, feed his guest Red Lobster instead of McDonalds and don't use his position to illegally endorse a product. What ever happened with that anyway? Nothing? Sounds about right.

Such a dangerous precedent to set. Opens the door to literally take away anything from people and blame it on stuff completely irrelevant to it. Let's take away the internet from everyone since we know how stupid some people can get when using it. And that argument actually makes more sense because I'm not using completely unrelated things.

Somebody lied to you about weed or you had a shitty friend/family member that happened to smoke and you just used that example to form your entire. It's lazy and we've seen it a million times. You'd make a good politician. Reacting off emotion and taking logic out the equation
