I've never seen it. It's on part 2 actually right now. It gets a lot of hype as far as modern action movie. I didn't think the Matrix was that great outside of the main jist of it and special effects though. Keanu's acting has always been pretty bad.

I wasnt too enamored with the first one. Skipped 2. I did enjoy the 3rd one quite a bit though. Its peak slapstick.

Think of that played out for over 60 minutes. Three films. Pretty damn good if you like that.

The first John Wick is a damn near perfect action movie. Great story, great action, incredible cinematography. It really had everything.

2 & 3 is where it starts to get a lot more over the top action wise, and the story gets more outrageous but they are still good movies.

I wish they would have stopped at 3 because I'm afraid they will fall into the Die Hard trap.

you shouldn't have skipped 2. it had a lot of cool fights. also the ending to 2 sets up what is happening in 3.

The matrix was a pretty awesome movie but I watched it the other night and it kind of dragged and the acting is pretty bad at times. Other than that great movie. As far as special effects and style it changed everything. I'm not sure it holds up today like it did then.

THe terminator is probably my favorite action/sci fi movie. Keanu is good and none of these guys can act but style over substance.

The more they delve into the whole assassin league thing the stupider it gets

The movies are directed by a former stunt coordinator, so the fight scenes look amazing.

Other than that, they're just fun action movies.

I sort of half watching the second movie right now. It seems like something I'd like and up my alley. There is some weird Keanu hype going on recently too. I've had several things pop up hyping these movies and then checked my tv and they were on tv of course.

The first movie is a good counterpoint to the Fast and Furious or Mission Impossible movies, where even if the whole "secret world of assassins" plotline is very fanciful and a little silly, the action is very heavy and, in a way, intimate. It doesn't feel like plasticine figures throwing hands on top of a dollhouse.

The second movie has an excuse plot imo, and I don't like it as much. It was a necessary stepping stone to turning John Wick into a franchise, but I didn't like the villain and John spends almost the entire movie putting dudes in armlocks and flipping them over like it's his signature move. It's really not a bad movie, I just don't like it as much as 1 or 3.

The third movie kicks ass, that's all I'll say about it. I love John Wick 3.
