argonautweakend 08/22/20 10:02:47 PM #1:	This is something that happens in a lot of genres, but some punk subgenres use them heavily. a lot of songs sometimes begin or end with audio clips from movies, shows, major events, etc. This stuff still happens today but these were like pre mainstream internet memes. Like, you'd quote them endlessly with your friends. I should note that I was going to ask if Thriller counts despite Vincent Price's monologue being an original creation, but then I remembered that also comes near the end of the song. Otherwise that'd get my vote. Oh, plus I was mildly amused by Young Money's "Bedrock" both referencing and using a clip from Talladega Nights, something I only learned because Todd in the Shadows reviewed the song... I think I learned about it from Todd.
