etc.

finishing the underwater level

The best moments in gaming are those little moments when you pull off something amazing out of nowhere. My story:

Ape Escape. It was a level where I was jumping on platforms to get to the higher level, but I saw an ape on a cliff to the side of me. I only needed one more capture to end the level. I had the sky flyer and I the gap could be traversed by it, so I went for it. Only I fucked up the jump and just slipped off the edge while running. But since I didn't jump before falling, I could still double jump, so I did, and then frantically used the flyer to get a little bit more height. I didn't get enough height to grab the ledge, but I switched to my net and the top of the flight and swung it, and I ended up making the capture as the ape was sitting at the edge of the ledge. And since it was the last ape needed, I didn't fall to my death and successfully ended the level.

Still remember the feeling of making those series of moves and the very quick change of feelings when it happened. I think we all have those little moments like that, that we can all look back on. Those are the best moments in gaming imo
