Grr. I want another romp through the necromorphs. I dont care if its a soldier, engineer or even elie rescuing ships and stations for survivors state of decay style. Just bring back the universe.

What's weird for me is that I liked 1 and 2 for different reasons. 1 was a good ship exploration kinda game, lots of cool hidden areas. 2 was a solid action game.

@Lokarin dead space 3 is an action oriented version and is a blast with a friend. However the shoehorning of microtransactions was about as awkward as a diarhea on a spacewalk. Ea hit a new low of pay2win in a single player game

It's not even that the devs have moved on, it's that EA shut down the studio altogether. Visceral doesn't exist anymore and the franchise has been permanently killed.

I wouldnt say permanently killed. However with ea holding the rights to it you can expect a rerelease to be more like ME andromeda was to Mass Effect. It would be a bunch of developers playing grab ass rather than an dead space title.

Thats why I said I want it brought back but I know its sad as it will not happen as the developers have moved on though to your view its more like calling deportation a vacation

With EA holding the rights and Visceral dead and gone, you'd be much more likely to expect a release along the lines of a mobile phone game, or something like Metal Gear Survive was to Metal Gear Solid.

Hence my earlier quote, "Sometimes... dead is better." Better to leave a franchise forever dead than to bring it back as a putrid rotting corpse.

But thats the argument between alien and aliens. Ridley caught off guard and blindsided by a never befor seen monster (screw off covenant you dont count) and survives and kills said monster then in the second one it was a more knowledgeable enemy that she could put to task once she got her bearings. Then in the following movies its just an animal destructive yes but not some almighty demon

Most people like the first two movies but the first two were wildly different from each other but both built the mythos and can be explained without repeatedly nerfing the playe while making jill sandwich jokes
