I have heard this phrase alot but it seems meaningless. Spanish Flu pandemic in 1918 didn't cause us to wear masks in 2018.

Spanish Flu pandemic did however last 2 years.

Unless there is a pandemic in 2022 and 2024 as well, this will never be a normal.
Seems misleading to talk like it is.

By "new normal " I think they mean things will not be the same again

And they are right

Even if Corona was cured in November it will take decades before people are back to how they used to be with travel and large crowds gathered and businesses at full strength

People are finally opening their eyes to how pandemics are a bigger threat than war to the 1st world in modern society and that realization isn't going to go away

The majority of people seem to be acting like everything is fine now and we don't need to be careful at all. At least in the UK where the government has zero interest in protecting people and has been profiteering off the pandemic. People think oh the government said this place can open now so it must be safe.

Nothing wrong with that, so long as the booty is washed properly

Anywho, I really hope coming out of this, we at least keep prioritizing public health. We should wear masks, wipe down everything we get from the grocery store, stay six feet away from others if we're ill, etc.
Enjoy your e-coli

We literally have big crowds now

I can guaran-fucking-tee you if football was happening, there would be sold out stadiums NOW, let alone in 2 years

when its safe, people will want to do things as much as they did before

The experts cant be wrong, Vitamin D deficiency and lack of exercise will never do any harm, just ask the Alt-Right and Antifa squares, theyre perfectly healthy!
No - I'm agreeing with you. I thought some of the measures were ridiculous. They were telling us not to play tennis outdoors for over 2 months even though you're 30 feet away from person on the other side of the net. People were getting shamed for going on runs etc. I thought it was absurd.
