DGS2: I literally can't find this theme online... not one that I'm sure is actually it anyway. So it's unlisted...

2012 (Professor Layton vs AA): I just don't know about this one. It doesn't really capture me. A Truth theme must grip the very soul. I think this one gets there by the end, but there's too much buildup.

2016 (Spirit of Justice): It's full-bodied, but falls flat to me. Like a much inferior take on 2013 or something. I only remember it playing when Phoenix tells Apollo they'll face off in civil court. Also this game is bad HAH

2001 (PWAA): Has some flashes of brilliance like at the loop, but overall just gets the job done.

2004 (Trials & Tribulations): Whoa what the fuck? Mia is fighting Dracula?? Really though ever since the Bloody Tears similarity was pointed out to me I can't quite listen to this song the same way. It's really aggressive and combative for a Truth theme, like a retooled Pursuit.

2002 (Justice for All): I acknowledge the composition of this one is really good so it gets its placement. But it doesn't feel... condemning? enough. The best truth themes can confidently play when an earth-shattering revelation is revealed that doesn't favor one side but actually shocks everyone involved. JFA's soundtrack is weird and Pursuit sometimes plays this role instead due to how aggressive it is.The only time I distinctly remember this song playing is when Acro tells Phoenix about the pain of losing Bat on the witness stand.

2015 (The Great Ace Attorney): I was going to rate this a lot lower because it doesn't quite fit the standard Truth formula. It often feels more hopeless or inscrutable than earth-shaking. But Great Ace Attorney is a very bleak game, and this theme fits the places it's used well, similar to my 2002 conundrum.

2011 (GK2/AAI: The Prosecutor's Path): You know, I'm not a huge fan of the theme holistically, it's not one I'd just listen to. But the lead in is brilliant, and this theme is used REALLY WELL in game. It never fails to make you feel "o fuck."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK4IGjKI_MA

2007 (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney): I don't know what you call instruments, but this track has that incredible ghostly synth sound beneath everything else. It's the same distortion from Apollo's Perception theme and makes a Truth theme that's already really satisfying, haunting and otherworldly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8vJZIwZipE

2013 (Dual Destinies): This is the music that plays at the climax of a thriller anime. This theme I swear to God is used just four times in the game. They go two or three whole cases without flexing this theme so that it can annihilate the player in Turnabout for Tomorrow. But it's almost cheating because they intentionally deprive you of it to strengthen its effects on you.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeWoU1sqqLU

2009 (Ace Attorney Investigations): This is the ultimate Truth theme and the very picture of what one should entail. It's perfect. Intense, stunning, gripping. And it even has a bit of Great Revival leak in. Wow!

"A cornered heart" is the true "confess the truth" theme from spirit of justice and basically shits on the rest of the franchise soundtrack.

Warning probably massive spoilers in the comments.

We have the same favorites but not sure how 2002 isnt right under it since 2009 is just a remix of 2002.

I also really like vs laytons 2012. I actually think its tied with 2002 as my second favorite. Like 2002 and 2009 it has a hint of triumph that the others lack.

Third is 2011. Remix of 2009 but it starts being closer to a second cornered rather than the midway between objection! and cornered that I associate it with. The second half starts getting a bit overly climatic. This is a common theme for the ones after this.

Fourth is 2004. Its even closer to a second cornered, being a fast-paced and chasey but it still has that holy shit were discovering things feel so I still like it a lot.

Fifth is 2016. This is when its basically just become a climatic cutscene reveal theme and not a midway between objection and cornered that I want. Melody is ok. A cornered heart is far superior and would actually be triple tied for number 2.

Sixth is 2001. Just too short and repetitive for me with a minor key that I dislike.

Seventh is 2013 Waaaay too complicated. You can tell this theme is only reserved for huge plot twist moments. Its just way too bombastic for a confess the truth theme for me.

Least favorite is 2007. Is this even a confess the truth? I thought this was a logic and trick the first few times I heard it lmao.

Havent heard DGS. Apparently DGS2 uses the same court music as 1 so thats probably why you havent found it.
