At a job? Or on like a farm or whatever if that's the case? Must have been paid or otherwise compensated

Either for a job, family (paid), or some other form of compensated work?

I didn't work a day in my life til I was 20 years old

Was helping my dad with his side job of mowing before I was 10. I was compensated in WWF (at the time) action figures and video games.

Started working on 2 local farms at 12. Haying, cleaning barns, fixing fences, helping out during calving season. Picking berries too, when the farmers didnt need me but I want a quick $10-20.

I was a nervous mess during hs, theres no way I couldve maintained a job and high school at the same time. I know people who had no problem with it

After graduating I didnt even make it through the summer without becoming incredibly bored so I started working nights at a gas station just to have something to do. It was neat to learn the experience and get to know people around town, but the boss was incredibly lazy so I didnt really enjoy it

Working there thoughI made good impressions on people who own a restaurant in town, I ended up working for them and becoming a cook

Summer jobs starting after grade 10. Started working weekends at the same place in grade 11 and 12. Allowed me to buy a car and insure/put gas in it in high school which was absolutely awesome. Also worked to push me towards university instead of a trade (my job was with tradesmen and they were jerks).

I didn't get a real job until I was 25. Almost 30 now and I'm a shift lead at an incredibly busy pizza chain and make like 40K a year; which is pretty good for being a drug addict NEET for like 7 years imo.

I did a bunch of volunteering through my teen years and early 20s, but I didn't start "officially working" until my late 20s. I attribute most of that to Generalized Anxiety Disorder; I always got into this pattern of apocalyptic thinking when I was about to apply for a job.

"If I get a job, then I'll be overextended and my grades will slip, and if my grades slip then I'll fail in school, and if I fail in school then I won't get a good career, and if I don't get a good career then I'll go broke, and if I go broke then I'll starve to death in the streets. So, if my grades go down, I'll die."

In hindsight, that was silly, and I easily could have handled working part-time while going through undergrad, and even the beginning of grad school. I regret not having pushed myself more, because it would have gained me some confidence and much-needed life experiences. But, I've still managed to attain my dream job and by all accounts I'm doing well at it, so I don't beat myself up too much for letting anxiety and self-doubt win all those years.

I guess I did this sort of work study program when I was about 13 or so. I got paid for a full 8 hour shift, but only spent half of it actually doing what you would call "work". The other half of the day was spent in class, as it were, watching these cheesy as hell training videos on what responsible work habits are. Damn were they hokey. Then I babysat for a while a few times for just this one baby. But I'd say my first real job was working in the kitchen at my university. After that it's just been regular retail stuff until the office job I have now.

My mother wouldn't let me have a job. I know what you're thinking, "Why did you let your mom tell you what to do?" Uh, cause I was a minor up til that point and didn't have a car that was legally mine. I did get a job behind her back like a month before graduation and she was pissed even though a) it was only like two hours a day a few days a week, b) I graduated at the top of my class, and c) I was literally an adult by that point.

Go figure then that during/after college, she constantly pestered me about getting a job and was shocked that my lack of experience really hurt me when it came to getting other jobs. I can't tell you how many interviews I had that basically ended with "We're looking for someone with more experience in [industry]" when it was shit like flipping burgers or stocking shelves.
