Alien and Aliens are obviously superb films. Anyone who voted for those either hasn't seen any of the others (understandable) or is just trolling.

Alien3 was, IMO, just... boring. Its main problem is that most of the cast is made up of bald, robe-clad criminals who (with a handful of exceptions) are hard to differentiate or care about. Oh no, we lost another one... which one was he? Can we tell? Do I care? That said, the ending was good. And I've heard that the alternate cut is much better, so I must get round to watching it one day.

Resurrection had issues, mostly caused by a clash of styles between the writer and director. That said, Sigourney Weaver was fricking amazing as Ripley8, perfectly portraying her as recognisably the Ripley we know and love but somehow wrong and brilliantly creepy.

AvP had some cool worldbuilding (even if it's not canon), but the title fight itself was a joke. I've seen better choreographed episodes of Power Rangers.

Haven't seen Requiem

Prometheus isn't really an Alien film. It's Alien-adjacent, definitely, but I don't think it's fair to criticise it for not being like something it wasn't meant to be like.

Haven't seen Covenant.

So, for worst I've seen, I'd have to say AvP.

Despite the AvP movies being obvious B movie schlock I cant vote for them here because they were always intended to be B movie schlock that was not meant to be taken seriously. Also, I think Resurrection is just legitimately worse than them anyway.

Also I decided to vote for Prometheus since it's my least favorite of the ones I've seen.

I doubt anyone has actually seen this movie because of how friggin' dark and poorly lighted it is.

I've seen four (the first two and most recent two). Covenant was such a disappointing follow up to Prometheus. I don't think I've ever left a theater more let down.

So yeah, it wins.

Having the AVP films makes this easy. AVP Requiem, with both being far worse than all other Alien films.

Yeah Covenant tried to backpedal from Prometheus while still directly following on from it. Talk about a massive miscalculation in terms of reading the audience.

Covenant was so nasty and meanspirited. The ending, while predictable, made me actually angry. It wasn't enough that the movie showed that the heroine from the last movie was experimented on and brutally killed, but the movie ends with its own heroine knowing she's going to be murdered too. Lol, how fun! Sorry that I don't hate people like the filmmakers apparently did.

Sure but it misread its own audience even worse arguably. But yeah that's fairly comparable - but to be fair Rise of Skywalker still made over a billion dollars at the box-office while Covenant barely broke even at best. So Rise of Skywalker wasn't actively an audience-alienating premise.

I suppose Rise of Skywalker was equally bad in terms of misreading its franchise's fanbase, but it was definitely a much more easily-marketable film and definitely had a better grasp on who it was meant for. Something the sequel trilogy was generally good at which is a big reason why I don't think it's nearly as bad as some say.

If any Disney Star Wars film had no idea of its audience it was Solo. But I say that mostly based off its production cycle. Really, you could say Star Wars has kind of always had a problem with what audience to tailor to, but that applies more to the franchise as a whole than it does individual works.
