Let's say you go on a date and they pull up in a 2006 base model Honda Civic that has a crack across the passenger side of the windshield, dents all over from a hail storm from months ago, has chipped paint, is lime green, and backfired when they were pulling up.

Are you going to judge them negatively?

I judge but its complicated. if you want an econobox and get a Kia Forte because you like their warranty and price point and mpg, cool. Good for you. If you want a sports car and decide the same Kia Forte is the closest you can get and treat it like a sports car, then I judge you on that.

• put eyelashes on the headlights

That's just fundamentally stupid to expose the engine to the elements like that.

I judge based on how they drive. They lose points if their headlights are super bright when they are behind me or coming towards me and make it hard to see.

I only judge people that drive like assholes, or have cars that scream "ricer". For example, I saw a small pickup truck that was stanced (low to the ground with the wheels tilting outward) and had a spoiler on it. I wish I took a picture, because it looked so bad.

I only judge people on how they drive, not what they drive. Though this factor is magnified if the person's driving a very expensive car but doesn't know how to drive.

I mostly only judge those who drive like total assholes. Nothing like weaving between 4 cars in a slalom to make an off ramp while driving 10 over the limit. Slow your ass down.... oh you don't have any plates? Now I know something's up.

Besides that I get 'oh boy' vibes when I see usually unsafe/dumb things. For example you don't need a lifted super duty that could monstertruck over a crossover for street use only, you shouldn't take a donk on the street, especially if you have stock brakes. Completely collapsed suspension and rust, but really nice rims? ... yeah I wonder which is more critical.

Besides that I usually don't care, I am one of those ones that enjoys all automotives for their various reasons, but I have grown a hatred for the corvette for personal reasons. Not even anything wrong with the car tbh, but when you hear someone praise it like it's God's gift to man and if you have any other preference you're wrong for years. You tend to hate it.

I guess I just judge those negatively if their idiocy is bound to hurt/kill someone, because they thought they were cool.

I had Prius for like 6 months. That gas mileage was great, but people giving me shit about it was wearing on my nerves if I'm totally honest.

And I got rid of it cause it was totaled after i got rear ended by a Mazda sedan which completly crumpled it and launched me off the road into a tree. Kind of freaked me out, if it had been a bigger vehicle that hit me I could have been very seriously hurt or killed. So I got a compact SUV with decent gas mileage instead.
