Thats also not happening. The issue here is keeping kids home is not a long term solution, and America has already utterly reached catastrophe. At this point any measures taken are just damage control as we lost our ability to stop this months ago. The key is find a healthy balance between home and school life which is what most schools have been trying to do.

Nobody is saying yolo, the CDC has given very strict guidelines to schools to mitigate the spread and contact.

I dont know how it is where you live, but here they are doing all of the following:
-Staggering start and drop off times, with half bus seats empty
-Recommending 6 feet apart desks, but within limitations of accommodation from the schools mandating 3 feet
-No sports spectating, if sports dont get outright cancelled in PA
-Single direction aisles in the hallway

Some schools are also doing A/B day type schedules so only half the students are in the building on a given day.

It's a shame, but Vermander is probably one those dudes who needs something tragic to happen to him personally to actually start caring about others. I hope it doesn't happen of course. But he's gonna stay on stupid otherwise.

Im saying you choose to halt all your life until 2022 and live in fear, or you can find balance between the two. The latter is the direction the country is pursuing.

It doesnt matter what side you are on, you will have those that greatly oppose you because its a problem with limitless factors and not all can be accounted for. If kids stay home they get lower quality education, they negatively impact their family environment by forcing parents out of work, the lack of any social interaction critical to psychological development in children, and many kids probably wont even eat.

If they go to class they are at risk for a virus that can be spread to their family and cause serious illness.

Its lose/lose. I think America is spending a lot of time arguing with itself over how to fix a situation that is quite honestly already beyond fixing.

I also would like to note that homeschooling is an option for anyone. The government is not forcing parents to send their kids to school, and many parents are choosing to opt out.

Really the easiest thing to do would be cancel a year of school until we have this mess sorted out, but Americans will still throw a tantrum because the reality is school is free 8 hour a day care for a lot of families.

Imagine your pride making you keep flopping your argument around this drastically and still not being able to just admit you might be wrong. You know how much important information pride like this throws away on the daily to protect itself? God damn. Have fun letting your flaws flourish bruh. Im saying. It's fine to be wrong once in awhile. But when you just keep jumping to the next thing and show no remorse or emotion for potentially throwing away lives with your solutions, it's a terrible look.

Do you seriously think kids are going to be experiencing social interaction in these schools with social distancing regulations in place? Lmao. You're mentioning things that aren't going to be solved whether kids are in school or not.

Not in the level they should, and thats sad. I feel incredibly bad for the bullshit these kids are going to go through. I feel especially bad for kids last year that were seniors and couldnt go to their proms or graduate together. These are once in a lifetime opportunities.

Not all curriculum is the same even in the same school. This would require thousands of broadcasts that would require a TON of technical knowledge and equipment on the part of the schools.

lets be fucking honest. Look back on your elementary, middle, or high school life for a minute. Would missing one semester along the way have stunted your growth in any facet? School especially elementary and middle school is just day care the majority of the time. We basically just need places for kids to go to get them out of their parents hair so they can go to work
