Considering alcohol doesn't generally go on sale this is a decent deal. If you're buying the stuff anyway then why not?

In Virginia you can sell beer and wine in grocery stores. ABC is used for liquor more than anything.

I live about 10 miles physically from the MD-VA border but I don't know if I want to drive 45+ minutes each way for an alcohol deal

Just thought I'd let anyone know in case they could take part in the deal. If you have ABC stores in MD, it might be worth checking out their website in case they have sales happening soon.

They don't have ABC stores in Maryland because it's a stupid state-regulated/owned thing in Virginia specifically.

Maryland has even stupider alcohol laws though; they have private alcohol stores but you *have* to buy alcohol there, you can't get beer at a grocery store or anything.

Actually 17 states and a couple counties in MD have controls in place for alcohol. Not sure how many have "ABC" stores specifically but I know NC does.

I mean I know they aren't the same business but that's the name of the state ran liquor stores in both states.
