One of the many videos showing it. Countries with highest level of obesity like US and UK have the highest rates of deaths. Whil Japan and South Korea are doing fine.

Yet never hear on TV anything about losing weight just that everyone is in danger of the virus and we need to hide in our house.

Are you kidding? People have been aware that obesity is, along with smoking, basically the greatest contribution to early death. For decades. This information isn't new. If people weren't maintaining a healthy weight already, why would this scare them into finally doing it?

Those countries also have a much higher sense of cleanliness than US, and I guarantee nobody threw a tantrum over mask use, ok?

See just keep making excuses. People are wearing masks now when I go out 90 percent of people wear masks hand sanitzer everywhere. You really think this explains why Japan has 1k deaths and NY has 32K alone.

Yes, 4 months too late. I do think there is a link between some of the deaths and obesity, but America's handling of the pandemic oaverall is what caused it to balloon.

Also, New York is a commerce mecca with a dense population not known for its cleanliness , so it stands to reason they would be one of the hardest hit.

its almost like other countries had consistent messaging and guidelines to keep people safe, meanwhile trump decided to, in his own words, take no responsibility and leave it up to the states, which led to confusion, more community spread, and preemptive reopenings

The first part of that post goes with the second part. We didn't take it seriously, thus, a densely populated area with heavy international traffic was hit hard. It's the reason why, initially, middle America saw lower case counts.

K except scientific studies are showing huge increases in bad outcomes with covid with increased body weight and diabetes. But I guess those dont count just all about masks.

You're kidding, right? I've been reading about the linkage for months. Unfortunately a lot of people who constantly highlight it do so because they think it's the strongest "proof" that they don't really need to care about catching or spreading coronavirus, since they don't feel they're personally at high risk. ("If it kills all the fatties, that's just Darwinism at work and we need more coronavirus", etc.) If you don't fall into that category and you're just concerned that helpful health advice isn't being heard, then I apologise.
