Like personally I feel like we were meant to be omnivores. I don't really see a strong ethos for not eating meat personally.

The fact that you go buy eggs at the store and you have a "cage free" option, implying the other 95% of the chickens lived their entire lives inside a cage too small to turn around... I wish becoming vegetarian had any effect on this system, but it doesn't.

I'm envious of their dedication most of all. I agree with the choice whole heartedly, but lack the self control to do so myself. maybe some day...

A good option if you care about animals, do it for health reasons, or for your religion. A few snobby people ruin the community though.

It's the environmentally responsible choice. You don't need to go 100% vegetarian but it still helps to cut back on meat for a cleaner environment. And less cruelty in the world is always a good thing.

This is 100% accurate. For as much as people claim a few vegetarians/vegans ruin the community, they wildly dwarfed by the number of people who think the simple existence of a vegetarian is an affront to them and must comment about it.

In my experience they really don't

The vegan wants to get through the BBQ without having yet another random argument about veganism

BBQ Steve on the other hand hasn't actually met a real life vegan before and only knows about them because of facebook memes, so he's really raring to go with his prepared commentary on the purpose of canine teeth and other bollocks

This is just because BBQ Steve loves to fucking argue. He also loves to have a dig about feminism and how his steak is the world's best recipe

I support veganism, don't practice it myself. I don't support people who force their kids on that lifestyle without doing the research first though and i especially don't support people who put their animals on vegan diets.
