Id watch the riots/protesting in Portland and couodnt understand why they are continuing to burn down our wonderful country.

then this past weekend I got run up on by a white guy at the local golf course and was quickly reminded how this country treats brown people. now im all for burning this ***** down because of the idiot racists who think they own everything

Last I was aware it was undercover white supremacists doing that. Not the republican boogeyman.

Well if you don't understand the protests then no one can help you. You need to understand one thing, these protests (and I am not not talking about the people rioting and looting) are not about Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. This goes back to the Rodney King fiasco, Emmett Till and long before Emmett Till.

Right after the Civil War ended upon starting Reconstruction, the KKK was formed and they set out terrorizing free Black people throughout the South and then during that time comes the Jim Crow Laws which lasted for 100 years which insisted there be separate but equal facilities etc across the broad and there was no such thing as equal in those laws so again this isn't some random isolated that happens once every blue moon in regards to the murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.

America has a very very ugly history in regards to race relations and it's time we acknowledge that because it's been going on for over 400 years and counting.

In every metric used to measure quality of life in America, Black people rank at or near the bottom of that list and that should not be the case but it is and racism plays a huge role in that.

I find it odd that whenever Black people form a group to combat racial injustice whether that's The Black Panther Party or BLM etc, Whites are quick to call those groups terrorists while seemingly ignoring groups like the White Nationalists, or KKK which was the very first American Terrorist organization yet that gets lost in translation.

Maybe its not because one person was mean to him, though. That one person being mean to him could be what reminded him of more times when the whole country was unfair to people of their skin color, possibly.

Also, you say that hes assuming that they were racist to them for whatever reason. But without knowing what they said, you cant know. I mean, its possible it was very obviously racist. We would need to know what was said, though...

Certainly wouldn't be the first or last time white supremacists were blamed for something Antifa did. It's a convenient way of writing off all of Antifa's criminality.

Antifa and BLM are separate things, but regardless it sounds like you don't understand the protests.
