Stuff:
- Ratings 1-10, no decimals. If you include a decimal, I will round down.
- We will do two ratings for each character character (CH) & unit (UN). They will be separate lists and you do not have to rate for both lists. Character rating is for design, personality, aesthetics, story, etc. and unit rating for everything gameplay related. If you only submit one rating and dont specify which, it will default to the character rating.
- You are free to rate any characters from past days or change your rating.
- Nominations for future characters are accepted. This does not guarantee your noms will be up for rating the next day but they will be moved up the queue for sooner rather than later.
- You obviously do not have to rate everything, just the ones you want.
- No regular schedule (e.g. Day 2 will not necessarily come ~24 hours after Day 1)

Gerik has solid stats and can insta-promote, joining at level 10 with a hero crest, which solves his swordlocked issue and possibly his no mount issue.

Ike can eventually become a good unit in FE9, but that start is a little rough. He's much improved in FE10, where he gets the Ragnell earlier and gets axes on promotion in a game where axes are pretty good. Free Aether and Nihil are nice, too. His speed can sometimes be an issue, but that's really the only thing that holds him back.

Olivia is a dancer. That makes her a insta-10.

Camilla is an early-joining pre-promote who gains exp like she's level 15 unpromoted. So not only are her stats insane for the point in the game she joins, she can still level at a decent rate after she joins. Oh yeah, she has some of the best growths in the game as well. Savage Blow and Trample are some nice abilities, too.

Like most units in Three Houses. Manuela is solid. Unfortunately, she's not much more than that. Her magic list is pretty meh, with the standouts being Warp and Bolting. Those two spells and solid stats are enough to keep you from being terrible, but she's easily the worst of the four warpers. Even Linhardt, whose spell list keeps him ahead despite not having access to Gremory or the DLC mage classes.

Gerik is pretty strong and can promote right away but always has that annoying choice between 1-2 range and an extra point of move holding him back, plus he joins a bit late on Ephraim route. Still he's almost always going to be deployed once he's around. PoR Ike has very shaky bases and is a swordlocked foot unit in a game where mounted classes dominate and 1-2 range enemy phase combat is essential. He can chip in at times and is silly good for the last two chapters of the game but that's not enough to be a good unit. Then RD comes along and gives swords a weak but still existent 1-2 range option, makes his bases great and gives him Ragnell for much longer.

Olivia is a dancer so 10/10 by default. Memes about Galeforce do not factor in because that's not a thing in any context where ratings can exist. Camilla has good availability, monstrous bases, stays strong basically forever and has a very useful personal skill to let other units do stuff better, she's kind of good (obnoxious character whose good qualities exist solely to frustrate you by being poorly handled, though). Manuela is generic Three Houses unit who is probably on the weaker side of the bunch.

Gerik is a solid unit all around. He comes in a little too late, but his bases are good and his growths are good. I like the Gerik/Innes/Tethys trio of supports. I don't remember the other supports, but I imagine he's at least pretty good in them.

I always get good Ikes. He doesn't have Canto, but he's probably the best infantry unit in the game. Resolve/Wrath Ike is great. Aether Ike is great. Ike is weird as a character. I like what he represents, but I think he's really boring in action. So many of his quotes is just "...". Maybe it's a weird localization thing? In any case, though, he stands out as a main character among all the other Lords. I like it, I just wish he was more interesting.

Olivia's a shy dancer. I really cannot say more than that.

Camilla's incredible in battle, but pretty awful as a character. I'm just gonna use this to go into Manuela. I just love how everyone kinda looks down on Manuela and how she acts. Plus, she just tends to have really good supports. Around B support is when her positive qualities come out. Manuela has unique spells, but I never really invest the time or energy into her.

Gerik is solid out of the box and there are much worse promotion options than ranger and hero. As a character he's just the game's obligatory merc, but he has some good interactions with Marisa and Innes.

Ike is a Good Boy. As an FE main character who isn't royalty, is anti-racist, and is gay, he is very relatable. There used to be memes about Ike soloing FE9 which I'm sure is possible but I think we've come around to realize he's not, like, broken. Definitely a strong unit in both games (especially FE10) though.

Olivia is the archetypal Awakening character in that her whole personality is a gimmick and that gimmick is bad. The most interesting things about her are her more interesting son and granddaughter. As a unit, she is a dancer. That's all I have for Olivia!

Camilla sucks. She's almost interesting but then it's Fates so she isn't. Please give her real armor. Nothing bad about her as a unit though!

Manuela is decent comedy relief. It's stupid that she's not a gay option for F!Byleth despite spending the entire game flirting with her. I've never used Manuela except for her paralogue so I have no idea if she's any good.
