She already failed two presidential campaigns, one of which was specifically against Trump, so.

When was the first failed one? Why would that affect her ability to win this time?

Look like a loser 3 times?

Third times the charm right? Does losing 3 times really matter?

Because Democrats who were mainly concerned with ousting Trump would not have been inclined to repeat their mistake.

Can you rephrase that using less political terms? I don't follow

Democratic voters in 2020 were most concerned with a candidate's perceived ability to beat Trump. This would have it made it very hard for Hillary, who lost to Trump four years ago, to succeed

No, and I'm not clear what about my post would make you think that.

When I can't do something the first 2 times I just learn from it and often get it on the 3, 4th or even 5th try

First time was against Obama in 2008. All I remember of her campaign is she ran out of money and there were pictures of her crying, it was pretty awkward because I don't want a person who cries publicly over something like that to be president.

And it's all about public perception and memory. She doesn't run against the same guy she already lost to once for much the same reason Trump is the primary GOP candidate for president - there's an historical precedent for it. Why run a candidate who already lost to the person? Why run a different candidate than the one who already won once?

I don't know how much it costs to run for president, but she raised less in money than Obama and was loaning her campaign money to try to keep it going - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2008/may/07/hillaryclinton.barackobama1 Also she was criticized back then for mismanaging her campaign.

Speaking of which, she was criticized in 2016 for neglecting several states during her campaign.

Just overall not a good candidate. And she's 72 and probably doesn't have the energy / desire to deal with a third campaign because it's exhausting.
