I got it for 6 bucks or something and it still feels janky af. First of all, Sam's new voice and redesign aren't good. Super generic. He feels like the guy who would play Sam if Splinter Cell Blacklist was a modern movie remake of Splinter Cell.

I don't know why they're bringing back any Conviction characters while simultaneously de-aging Sam again. Grim looks horrible.

I do like the addition of carrying bodies, that's nice. Dogs seem OP. Dislike how there's a hub that I can upgrade and choose missions from.

I'm only 2 missions in tho so let's see how it goes

I enjoyed it, and some people were still playing online coop when I was playing it 2 years ago.

Double agent was 10/10. Conviction was alright but supremely dumbed down

^ it wasn't the best stealth game, but I thought that Conviction was a good action game.

it was really short, though, iirc.

PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube (i think) Double Agent is the same as Chaos Theory

PS3, Xbox 360 and PC Version are different.

I hated Blacklist when i originally got it... but then a couple years later i gave it another shot, and managed to enjoy it. I actually loved Conviction back in 2010, but im tempted to say Blacklist has better gameplay nowadays, it just takes time to get into.

Also doesnt help that the charlie missions suck ass... ESPICIALLY the first 2, worst stages in the game, confined areas with tons of light.

Like... the rest of charlies missions are easier than the first 2, the LAST one is easier than the first 2. How the hell does that make sense.

Blacklist is basically Conviction 2.0

The 3 playstyles also allow you to play according to how you want

Ghost is classic style, no kills, evade enemies if possible (get ghost points for KOing enemies and more so for just evading enemies)

Panther is still stealth, but lethal stealth. Silent Weapons, Lethal takedowns and such

Combat is full out assault. In order to get more points you need kill chains IIRC

Definitely the one i like the least hah.

I have the first one on PS2 and conviction on PC

havent touch either of them. Where should I start? Should I get chaos theory and double agent?

i remember starting the first one but didnt play much cause I thought it was too difficult to slow walk with the analog switch. Wish they had a slow walk button like PC or like MGS3

Blacklist was my introduction to Splinter Cell. It's one of my favorite games ever.
Tried playing previous iterations and couldn't get into them.

Slow Walk with Stick, didnt change until Conviction.. PC doesnt have that, cause WASD arent pressure sensitive (or atleast not usually)

Pandora tomorrow.. is... the weirdest one out of the originals, but Chaos Theory is the best one (Even has my favorite lvl, and im sure everyone who knows CT can guess it lol).

If you do get Chaos Theory, make sure you get it on PC. PC has quick saves at all times, PS2 doesnt. PC has the entire level as one big area, PS2 had to split them up, which means some levels suffer. Its not a demanding game at all, i mean its 15 years old afterall.

Yeah when it comes to Splinter Cell PC or Xbox is the way to go for pretty much everything before Blacklist.

Easiest way to play through the entire series is Xbox One since Pandora Tomorrow and Double Agent are wonky on PC and PC is missing Version 2 of Double Agent. But PC covers everything else anyway.

it's not bad. it's growing on me. but it's so watered down and easy. i guess i can try switching to perfectionist but it's intimidating even tho im pretty good at stealth games

also sam's de-aging (AGAIN) and new VA take like 3 points off the score for me

Even with Ironside being sick they should have just used a new protagonist.

At this point Fisher should be in Lambert's role anyway. It's sort of dumb to have a franchise like Tom Clancy and then make your protagonist immune to aging.

He'd be in his mid-sixties! Splinter Cell games are usually set in the near future too.

I'm not really interested in the character if Ironside can't do the voice. It didn't feel like it was Fisher in Blacklist at all.
