I watched this last week--my first time. Many aspects of the movie hold-up surprisingly well.

The Circus (1928)

Excellent film, and a top three Chaplin in my book. I just got the Criterion Blu-Ray - gonna pop that in soon.

I watched Eating Raoul (1982) for the first time a couple nights ago. I enjoyed this one a lot. It's a good ol' slab of midnight-movie comedy, trashy yet consistently clever. And I'm a sucker for "grifting" storylines.

IYO, is this movie more "dark humor" or "horror comedy" (I ask because of the cannibalism aspect)?

Last short - The Tempest (directed by Pere Portabella)
Last feature - The Sore Losers (directed by John Michael McCarthy)

short wasn't great, although there's a bunch of other films by him on mubi that I still want to check out.

The Sore Losers was good, kinda rockabilly fuzzy alien serial killer road movie that turns into a fetish film. Lot of killing, cool cars and bondage.

283 features watched this year, although 2 I watched twice due to being unwell on first watch. 25 shorts.
