picked him off the street wounded about 2 weeks ago. i treated him, fed and played with him and he gradually got better. 3 days ago he suddenly started throwing up each meals. he has huge appetite but he cannot hold anything down. i went to the vet and they gave me medicines, but still puking and it got worse. he went back to weak and lethargic and started losing weight, close to the original underweighted self when i found him.

i decided to leave him in the hospital ICU for 3 days so professionals can monitor him better than me and administer emergency actions like IV drips and other medicines. just hope for the best.

I feel your pain; my cat has been having health issues.

Her left eye has built-up mucus inside the eye, and she had been sneezing and losing weight; luckily she seems to be getting better, but it will be a few weeks to get her weight back.

Her eye hasn't completely recovered, but the eye drops I got for her seems to have cleaned it up a little bit; worst case scenario she'll need to go to the vet.

I'm sure Sniper will pull through. A friend of mine adopted a street cat from a shelter and he had the same problem within the first month. He's supposedly been okay for the several months since then so could be just new living adjustments. No feline leukemia is a blessing too.

Hey, I recently saw that you tagged me in a topic about your kitten. I completely missed it. So I checked the archives.

You did a great job bro. I still have the two kittens I posted about in March. One was severely injured by her mom. 4 months later, both are doing great.

The signs for your kitten are not the best though. Just don't want you to get your hopes up. It can easily pass during this ordeal, so please be prepared. I lost a kitten to FKS a while back and I cried for weeks. It happened almost overnight.

Thank god. I lost a cat due to that and something else. He was only 1 1/2. Glad you can rule that out.

I had to put my cat down back in May after her liver shut down, vet couldn't figure out what caused it and they couldn't keep her eating and hydrated despite their best efforts.

Best of luck.

My cat had similar issues with throwing up constantly and being unable to maintain a healthy weight at the turn of the year. I tried supplemental food pastes and such and switching his food around but after a few months it got to the point where he was too thin and lethargic and I brought him to the ICU. Turns out he was going through liver failure, which is apparently common for older cats. We had to put him down after a couple of days of treatment had no impact on his vitals. It was really devastating. I hope your boy bounces back.

The thing with kittens this young is that they are so fragile that anything can kill them. Dropping temperature is a very bad sign. I hope they can save him.

For my kitten that died, it got really lethargic in the evening one day and was crying a lot. By midnight he was barely moving around despite lots of heat. This was in the winter btw. I didn't really know all the signs. I did see distress but planned on taking him to the vet next day.

I woke up to a stiff body. It was one of the most horrible things I've experienced. His brother is still alive today. We both mourned for so long.

He's probably is not ready for even young adult cat food.
Cat's digestive systems are very well-tuned.

Freaking best of wishes. :-(

That cat seems stong, hand in there with him!

i gave him kitty food that he should be able to digest at that age (2 mo). he's getting better until suddenly the puking started. i left him alone in the living room while i work and he usually chill on the sofa. i dunno, i made sure there are no weird stuff he can eat but i might miss something and he swallowed something he shouldn't.

I was gonna say.... Holy fuck it's like $200 in the US if you want a vet to take your cats temperature.
