My mom had a very bad flu like disease in November, but she tested negative for the flu. She needed to stay in the hospital for a few days. I never knew she tested negative for the flu until just recently, so now I wonder what she had.

A coworker of mine was incredibly sick and almost put on a ventilator in December. Then in March, she took the covid anti body test and tested positive. That's not to say she didn't officially pick up corona from December to March, but it makes me think she had it in December.

Not super sick but I did caught the flu that was going around.

I was super sick in February when the covid news was breaking out though. Still waiting to be able to take an antibody test.

I was really sick for a couple of days in early February and then my wife got sick a couple weeks later, she had strong flu-like symptoms that took a couple of weeks to get over.

Right around Xmas I had the worst flu I've ever had in my life. Went to the Doc and tested positive for Influenza Type B, but since they weren't testing for covid back then is it possible I had Covid 19?

I got sick for about a week back in late January where I had one of the roughest, harshest coughs I've ever had. My coworkers were even commenting about how rough my cough sounded. Had a mild fever for about a day near the end.

So maybe I had it.

I think some might of had it, but a lot are just mistaking something else for it. They want to feel like they already beat it for peace of mind >_>. I'd be happy if you guys are right and did beat it, but be safe.

Or maybe, Im hating because I'm not on the good end of this :3

Considering Influenza Type B isn't SARS-CoV-19, yes, that's different than COVID.

You're unable to see the whole picture, nice to know.

The idea that COVID being in California early doesn't make much sense on its own; the only reason the idea became popular was because the State's numbers wasn't looking as bad as New York (during their peak); aka "herd immunity" from COVID being here early.

Mid-January. I don't recall having a fever or trouble breathing, so I can't say for sure that it was COVID-19, but it was a bad time nonetheless. Took me about a week to stop feeling like total crap, and three or four days after that to get back to normal. Not a standard cold, that's for sure.

I went to a hockey game on NYE, and this thing hit me about two weeks later. If it was Corona, that's most likely where I caught it.

In December I got wrecked and worked from home for a week. I thought it was the flu, but who knows. I coughed so hard my throat spasmed and there was nonstop snot. I went through multiple rolls of toilet papers hacking up phlegm and I was very tired. For a couple days I barely ate anything at all, maybe a piece of bread. I normally have a high appetite.

Its been speculated that the virus had already been circulating, but no one knew about it, so we couldnt identify it. The first official case wasnt until mid-January, after China finally admitted its existence and laid out the symptoms. That would explain how it spread so fast from that point to being all over the country in a little over a month...people unknowingly spreading the disease because they thought it was a common cold/flu.
