The economy is the first or second largest overall (depending on how you want to measure it), but the per capita GDP isn't even close to the highest (there are a few extremely wealthy small countries making it basically impossible to ever overcome them). Or are the days of American hegemony officially over? sadly, no. we are stuck in a cycle where a Democrat fixes the economy and deficit only for a Republican to fuck things up after, setting the stage for another Democrat to fix things up. the cycle just got worse now thanks to trump, and the world doesnt want to rely on a country that will get out of trade deals, international treaties and defense obligations with other countries because they were entered into by a government from a different party. Treaties, deals and defense obligations are supposed to be a stable, long term thing, not a 8 year thing at most. while we are too busy fighting over even basic stuff such as black peoples right to live (tell black lives matter to a trump supporter and see the scene they will cause), kids right to go to school without getting shot or whether science is a real thing China is reviving its Silk Road, Russia is de-stabilizing governments worldwide and countries are lobbying to stop using dollars as the world currency. once the dollar as world currency goes so will we. thanks trump <cite>Reality_check posted [p:942139735] in Do you see...
