If "the" problem with socialism was sometimes you accidentally turn the slider too high, then it's a pretty great deal.

Without the workforce to keep up, he said he had to create an incentive to get his workers out of quarantine and back to chopping trees. He gave those who did return an extra $3 an hour.

Oh the horror

Sounds like a capitalism problem. Employers don't want to pay what labor is worth with the current demand, so they end up without workers. That's the free market at work.

Pretty sure this is an indication that companies should be paying their employees more, not a ding on the covid unemployment expansion.

Exactly. If somehow you can't compete with the last-resort option, that's a problem with your own business.

Uhh isn't this capitalism at it's best. If you can't compete with the prices another business is offering you're gonna cease to exist?

You know how walmart kills small mom and pop stores? Nobody had problems then.

Becuase consumers benefit in a variety of ways from it. Nobody benefits working from this though except the unproductive.

And if people arent working and spending to generate tax revenue then the goverment will just find others ways to get it. Like jacking up property taxs which their already planning.
