Pineapple is BEST when it is juicy. Even if you grill it, you grill the juicy parts and caramelize it. However, it is STILL inherently juicy. If you overcook it, it becomes gross.

So, extrapolating this thought...

Juicy Pineapple on a pizza makes it soggy. This is not good. Even slightly grilled it is still juicy, thus on the pizza it makes it not good. If you cook out all the juiciness from the pineapple to avoid the soggy aspect, then the pineapple tastes bad.

It does not work.

Its only good if the pinapple is shredded. But even still, I'd rather have peperoncino or onions.

My mom never cut the crust off my sandwiches and she didn't even slice them either.
