The writing is just so unbelievably bad sometimes. Deathstroke blames the Titans for killing his son, but he decides that them breaking up is all the revenger he needs? Dick just gets himself arrested out of nowhere. Rachel asks to go with Donna and then walks out of the taxi. Donna stays in the taxi instead of following her, but then she stays in San Francisco solely to find her. Hank and Dawn decide to kindasorta change their names and just move to the same town where a supervillain blew up their house. Beast Boy....well, Beast Boy and Conner are okay, the actions they take are the result of realistic flaws in their characters.

But by far the most baffling thing to me is that after twenty-two episodes, we still haven't seen a full-on teamup. The only time they were ever all together was when they faced Trigon. Given that he immediately brainwashed all of them and used them to help try and end the world, they'd have been better off if they hadn't teamed up then. Despite that, we've seen the team break up twice.

Heavily disagree. The effects are fine. Stargirl probably gets far less and it's made a much better show. What this show needs is writing. We do not need a plotline where Jason Todd and Rose Wilson have a godawful teenage romance.

"Every time I try to get close to you, it's like you push me away." An actual line from a romance between two characters that have known each other for uh...two weeks.

And now we get a Rose flashback. Goddamn, pick a fucking lane.

Superman clone was a stupid idea and poorly executed. Jason is dumb af. Worst casting possible for Starfire. Among many other issues.

If you want a really good superhero show with a ton of soul and GREAT characters, watch Doom Patrol. It's wacky, it's fun and it's got a decent cast, with Timothy Dalton at the helm.

So Mercy's grand plan was to have Beast Boy turn into a tiger at a fair so Connor could stop him. What? Why is that such a grand advertisement? I'd give even odds to any of the Titans at beating up a tiger. Him firing the gun and catching the bullet before it hit Mercy was far more impressive. You can't even try to explain it by assuming she was drawing out the Titans so Superboy could defeat them because Cadmus was surprised when they showed up.

And honestly, I find it a little weird. You're telling me Lex Luthor goes to the trouble of making a Superman clone and then he just tries to sell it?

And I knew Donna died at the end of this season, but that's how they do it? All the fighting is over, there's a moment of triumph, and they literally drop a fucking pole on her? What. The fuck. And it's doubly bizarre because the show immediately says that Rachel might be able to bring her back to life. I would say you wouldn't introduce that idea without followup, but this is Titans so maybe she's just dead forever.

And there's far too much arguing and separation for the show to be doing the We'Re A fAmIlY thing so constantly.

At least they did explain that Bruce didn't actually have godlike influence that allowed him to bring everyone to a diner in the middle of Nevada. And hey, they're actually all finally a team. After two seasons.

I don't think any of the casting is bad actually. I think Starfire is actually one of the better characters, probably because she can crack a fucking smile now and again. All of the actors, the characters, the effects, it's all there. The writing (and some of the fight choreography) is just so fucking weak.
