I'm sick of it, but fully acknowledge it's better than a lot of places. At this point, I just want to escape from the world to my own deserted island.

We're not even full Mad Max yet, but it's just depressing.

Who? AoC? The problem with AoC is more the fact she's a moron than just a matter of her being far-left.

Her political standings, even if more right than my own, make sense to me and not a bad direction for the US to go in. The US responding to her like they were John Lithgow in Footloose I just found hilarious. (Left leaning, good looking, my age, can dance, none of those are problematic in my eyes)

If you mean Warren -- who stands side-by-side with Bernie on a lot of issues and is certainly a prominent force on the left -- she's not terribly ridiculed... well, except by Trump, but that's Trump.

I know the name and that is honestly all I know about her.

Which is to stupidly claim, "If a nation isn't good for all people, it's not good." Every country that's ever existed has had at least some horribly treated groups, a reality that remains true to this day and shall continue.

That changes absolutely nothing. Also, yes. At least for a country like this that is explicitly made of people from all walks of life. If it's not treating everyone equally then it's not doing its job.

I'm more worried that the people burning down restaurants, destroying property, shooting children, and assaulting people for wearing maga hats will start one if he wins. Makes sense to me

The American political system, coupled with high initial inequality, gave the moneyed enough political influence to change laws to benefit themselves, further exacerbating inequality.

I've yet to see a government people can't ruin but america is easily one of the most ruined when all condidates on both side of every election are varying degrees of comically awful. The country is being run by a cartoon villain and the people they throw up against him are somehow maybe slightly less awful.

The medical system is terribly inequal. While we have some of the best hospitals, those tend to be ultra expensive and are the few team approach hospitals we have. Most hospitals work on an entirely different and incredibly shitty system. Of course, the medical system and research worldwide is terrible as well. Fuckers are still using fax machines and mailing CDs to each other and the vast vast majority of what doctors currently do could be done better by an algorithm. Trust in doctors is falling and preventable medical mistakes are the 3rd highest cause of death, behind two other medical issues.

Our government systems are incredibly horribly inefficient and shitty to the point people stay stuff like "are you really going to trust the government to handle that?" about a ton of things the government really should be able to handle, but cannot. Why this is acceptable and just left unchallenged is beyond me.

Our justice system is actually terrifying. If the 12 people on the jury agree to something, the facts basically don't matter. They can even judge the law itself as illegal and let the person go for something that is clearly against the law. Splitting the actual law up into 50 versions because of all the states also needlessly complicates a lot of things and creates really weird situations where two people having sex in one place is fine and 50 miles in another direction is a life ruining crime or other situations where something is legal on a state level and illegal federally and the legal ramifications become confusing. Still not as bad as what I know about japans somehow.

America SHOULD be the worst first world country by a mile based on how it is but theres plenty of awful shit going on elsewhere too. If china counts as first world it's clearly the worst. Basically a real life dystopia.

Also for all our shit about freedom and liberty, we actually don't really have any more than most other first world countries. In certain areas we do but in others we don't and it's silly.
