I'm trying to do them as I go. Worried that a quest giver might die and lock me out of a sidequest or something. Though, the rewards have been a bit lacklustre so far. But then, I'm only to the start of Chapter 2, so maybe the best is yet to come. They give you fast travel early on, which was the big sidequest unlockable in the first game and maybe there'll be some gun and skateboard unlockables once the related merchants become unlocked.

Really though, I just want some new suits. Still upset I didn't get a bowling shirt for doing that stupid spare sidequest.

can confirm the green suit you get from the drycleaning sidequest is very nice looking

other than that suit I think the only other suits you get come from completing X amount of stamps

Ah, cheers for the guide. I was literally searching for one yesterday. Annoyingly, I've missed one already, hrm. Any idea how easy it is to go back and pick up a sidequest from a previous chapter?

I think you get a suit for every 40 stamps you complete. Which is... something.

I think the end of chapter screen hard saves your overall progress so if you missed one (I'm guessing it's Find my Dollie) you're going to need to play through that whole chapter it's located in to save it to your profile.

Starting a chapter and activating a side quest and then switching to your current save doesn't bring that side quest into that save.

So that's one thing that makes it overall more tedious than the first game just because chapters are so much longer than they were in that game (with there only being 4 of them as opposed to 26)

Ugh, I was afraid of that. And yeah, it is that one and since you have to do a bit of it in chapter 2 and 3, I feel like I should make the effort to go back and get it now, so I don't end up having to replay all three chapters.

I suppose if I hammer through the dialogue and skip all the cutscenes it won't be so bad...

even if you missed the quest you can still find the dollie in chapter 2 since it's in the dungeon so you theoretically just need to do chapter 1 again, then go straight to 3 to finish it.

for the skateboard quests once I realized you don't need to ride right through the coins but can still be a decent distance away from them and still collect them it made breaking those high scores much easier

in some cases you can ride right by an obstacle completely and the coin will still collect

Well, I'm right at the start of Chapter 2, so I'm thinking if quickly replaying chapter 1 makes me have to restart 2 for some reason, I won't lose anything.

I think it's every 40 stamps you earn you get a new suit for 10 total

I didn't check exactly but I got one when I was in the 40s and another just now at 84 when I checked my stamp list in the menu

if it wasn't for the technical issues I think that was close to a 9/10 for me (with the original being a 10)

with them however it's probably closer to a 7.5

also the post-credits cutscene might be the best thing in the whole game

Patch 1.02 notes from reddit

-Framerate has seen improvement, still not near ideal but the game feels better and more responsive.

-York's skateboard conversations are no longer activated automatically, there is now a button prompt to trigger them. Still seems to pull from the whole pool, but at least we won't have to hear "This is the deep south." as often!

-Audio mixing has also seen improvement. Skateboard sound has been brought down, as has the enemy VO.

-Changes to descriptive text and typo changes.

-All the deadnaming and misgendering got cleaned up from York's end by removing or editing lines (though in the latter case they're not voiced.) Kinda awkwardly handled but a future patch might smooth them out. Nice to see it addressed quick regardless.

-Inverted camera controls on the way.
