I regularly apply a different type of cream to my face. If that counts.

Vague stuff always makes it through the PG rating

i have eczema so i gotta put some kind of moisturizer on my face or it gets super dry. i prefer Eucerin Advanced Repair cream, but i rub it into my hands first and then lightly rub it on my face.

I should probably get back into a skincare routine. I ditched the beard because I missed how relaxing my shaving ritual is (brush and all), but I really should use the masks and peels I have as well. Somehow I'm drying out.

Every morning, if I have any comedones I'll spot treat those with salicylic acid in a 2% solution for 10 minutes, I'll also apply a witch hazel mist to prevent drying and to tone a little bit. Afterward, I wash my face with a licorice root cleanser that's fortified with vitamin e. After it dries, I'll apply a hyaluronic acid essence, which is a professional grade moisturizer that has incredible benefits for general complexion as well. This is the crux of the routine, by far the most important step and the most valuable product I use in terms of my skin's appearance. Once that has set for about 15 minutes, I'll apply a thin layer of Neutrogena's liquid lotion spf 30 sunscreen to my face and neck, I prefer this specific one because it is so light and relatively sweat resistant. After I get off work, before working out, I will wipe off my face with a makeup removal wipe so that the sunscreen doesn't drip into my eyes since it's far more profuse than my sweating in general. Once I'm home, I'll reapply the hyaluronic acid. I'll do this once more just before bed, wipe then reapply; however, this time I will massage it in with a rose quartz roller that is stored in the freezer, which lifts and pumps by bringing blood and nutrients to the surface of the skin.

Every third day, I have to shave, and because I'm prone to razor bumps I will use a serum that is formulated to prevent ingrown hairs, which really helps the bumps. I don't really do anything differently except make sure that my razor is sharp and that I am using high quality shave cream.

On Sundays, I will apply salicylic acid to my entire face and neck and leave it on for 30 minutes, again misted over with witch hazel. That will break up any dirt, sebum, and dead skin that may be hanging out on my face or in my pores. Then I will apply a bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar mask to my face, neck, and hair and leave that to dry for an hour or so. I must give a warning tho, I am only able to leave that on that long because my skin is so well moisturized and I stay hydrated with 8 liters of water per day, if your skin is not holding moisture well, this will dry and burn the fuck out of it after about 10 minutes. After rinsing that, my skin is unbelievably smooth, at first the smoothness only lasted a couple days, but the longer I carry on the routine the further into the week the benefits go. At this point, I feel like there's very little visible difference between how my skin looks on Monday and on Saturday, and I can really only tell by running my fingers over it.

This routine costs about $350 per year.
