I bought the part and was already to replace it, generally not that hard (no i'm not a car expert but I have done minor stuff on my car my whole life). Anyway it IS actually pretty easy on most cars but it seems the 2003 Saturn L200 actually has multiple bolts holding it in, and you either have to put it up in the air or get under and try and remove the bottom bolt that way.

It's just not worth the effort since the car is working just fine. The engine light is on though which I hate, but I know what the problem is, and I can get it fixed in the future, or decide to do it myself then.

I am not up to trying to get under my car on the street and do it right now, but I called to check a local automotive and they charge $125 an hour lol, with a 30 minute minimum. I mean the most it would take is 5 minutes, it's super easy (you pull out 3 things, the only hard part is removing the bolts).

Blah, I hate how much everything costs now adays. $125 an hour is just freaking insane for something that simple. I'm all down for people getting paid a decent amount but $40 an hour is freaking enough, you don't need to charge more than attorneys do.

When did people start charging so much for simple automotive work? I always did stuff myself or had friends etc that could do the more complicated stuff. Argh.

Attorneys charge more than $125 an hour unless they're working on a percentage of settlement basis.

Generally only when they are in court or if it's a lead attorney or something, although admittingly it has been over 10 years now since I ran an office (and of course the amount people change differs as well).

It' pretty just a universal problem for me anyway, EVERYTHING costs so much more now, it's hard to wrap my head around.

Min wage has gone up like 5$ but the cost for most things has gone up a ton more (rent, car work, food etc). It's quite frustrating. I can say it didn't go up that much for the first 30 years of my life or so.
