So America censors Japanese games and Japan censors Western games.

Which country can get 100% uncensored games from both sides of the Pacific? Canada? <_<

Violent content is censored in Japan to avoid a Z rating. Though some games get an extra Z rating version (Resident Evil/Biohazard being the only one I know of where both versions exist). In America sex is evil so it has to be removed and there is only one version. That's the major difference. Some Japanese games are censored in Japan and don't have an alternative version, such as NiOh (no decapitations, and no Z rated version).

Also want to add that they don't even bother releasing Mortal Kombat in Japan, since it would only get a Z version and not get enough sales to make it worth it. Adult games are niche here, not something you can blow a big budget on unless you do the double release like Biohazard does.
