Since I'm not American, the only thing I really hear about in the news is his constant Twitter shitposts and the dumb things some of his followers do.
Did he actually do anything major politically? Do you guys feel the effects of it in your daily life?
I'm genuinely curious, would be interested in any experiences, etc (regardless of what your political alignment is)

IIRC the unemployment rate for minority groups was at an all-time national low in 2019.

Me personally, I enjoyed the small increases to my full-time wage and tax returns.

I would say the biggest thing that directly affected my life would be the tax cuts. I'm saving easily over $1,000 each year.

There's a lot of other things I like that he's done that I think help others and is good for our country overall, but I guess I can't technically say XYZ policy literally impacted and improved my life because of Trump.

A month ago he gave industries permission to count their bird deaths as harmlessly accidental, instead of being required to take preventative measures to ensure wildlife doesn't die.

Keep in mind that wild bird populations have declined by 30% since 1970. There was no point easing restrictions on industries' responsibilities for wildlife other than to appease them for his personal reasons. He basically said "more birds can die if it means the industries fall into favor with me"

The company I worked for had a ton of jobs cancelled because of Trumps trade war and his handling of the pandemic assured that said company went out of business. The same has happened to thousands of different businesses.

Blacklisted Huawei, a company who made the best smartphones. I mean if Huawei is this evil diabolical company, why doesn't every country blacklist them? He bankrupt many American farmers with his trade war against China, thus the cost for food particularly in restaurants went up. All the inflation he created with his big budget deficit spending making Americans poorer, now we have to pay more to buy things.

He gave me a thousand dollars. I'm still voting against him.

He's destroyed Native American graves, imprisoned families of Latinos including children (and denied them access to basic hygiene), and has enabled White supremacist rhetoric and ideology because they fawn over him and he won't denounce them.

Other than more money due to lower taxes + stimulus, plus entertainment, not really. Corona was always going to hit this hard due to Americans being American.

This. Nevermind anything having to do with race or the virus or any of his foreign policy blunders. Those of us in education have been feeling this admin's affects since the day he took office...mostly quite negative and harmful.

This is something that's always baffled me. Why does it matter if something affects me or not? Am I not allowed to care about how things might affect other people?
