I am already getting Final Fantasy 8 remaster, 9, X/X2 bundle and FF12 Zodiac Age. I played those as a kid and I want to play it now so I'll get them soon but I haven't played the games below and I'd like opinions on them:

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
Recettear
Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Played the first one a long time ago but I didn't like it but maybe I'd like it now+the other Halo games)
Football Manager 2020 (I never watch soccer but maybe the game would be fun)
Yakuza 0

Months ago I remember reading opinions on Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord (the newest game in the series, NOT Warband), and it was either mixed or less favorable opinions on the game. Have they made some updates to improve the game recently?

Recettear is by far the best game on that list to me.

Just so you know Bannerlord is in early access. It runs poorly and many of the features they want in the game are yet to be implemented. You could try Warband if you want to try out the gameplay.

the only one of these I've played is recettear, it's cute but not nearly as interesting as it first looks. It has a ton of systems and mechanics and even a massive dungeon crawling minigame but in terms of actually clearing the game (paying all your debt repayments on time or whatever) you ignore like 95% of them.

I think I'd only recommend it if you're the sort of person who likes the majority of the game to be in postgame dungeon crawling content

Recettear

that game is pretty good. it's kinda hard at first and you almost surely will hit a game over or 2 when you begin. I don't even know if it's possible to win the game on the first try. but when you get a game over, you save your progress and then start the story over but with everything you earned

it's actually extremely easy with an absurd amount of leeway as long as you know what to do. which is hard because 90% of the actions you can take in the game are traps.

massive spoilers you want to essentially never enter dungeons, never haggle, just continually buy the best stuff you can buy and sell it at about 105% markup. Yes, the game tells you to find loot in dungeons. Yes, the game tells you to start around 120% and haggle around there. Yes, the game talks about crafting and buying from shoppers and etc etc. None of these are worth a second thought, really. The tutorial is basically a giant box of lies and almost everything it tells you only makes the game harder.

Do you remember any reasons for why you didn't like Halo the last time you played it? Personally it's my favourite FPS so I would recommend it but I know from other people that there are some things about the game that people don't enjoy and can make them dislike the whole thing, like the weapon pickup nature of it.
