virtually every household in america has at least one person going out to stores to buy food. Most people arent spending ridiculous money to have every last thing delivered to them, and any who are constitute a huge minority of the population. In these stores likely at least hundreds to thousands of people gather in close quarters each week, every single day..If theres so many asymptomatic people walking around spreading it like fear mongering media has you believe, itd have peaked months ago, as all of these shoppers would bring it back to their household if they pick up the virus...Go ahead and appeal to your unverifiable authority to tell me my logic is wrong when its not. The virus doesnt suddenly become more contagious when people gather for reasons other than food

Things never got very bad in my town. Theres one region in the country thats having some trouble, but where i live, theres like no issues at all, just keep 1-2 meters away and youre fine.

THats what the rule is i think, but if i just take a walk outside, its braindead easy to just stay away from people

Might also be why i havent seen Masks be used here, because the People density is low enough to not need them.

Things in NYC rolled over thankfully - what most people dont know is that NYC is so big we literally Brought the curve down

Only to shop. I'm on unemployment, so I'm good until that runs out in july. I'll probably stay inside for at least another month after that before I even consider going back to work. If the federal unemployment gets renewed, i'm riding that out until it stops.

Why is it a requirement to wear a mask outside the home? In crowded areas is makes sense - but just being outside seems really pointless, especially where distance is easily maintained.

The articles do talk about it, but basically the US... hasnt managed the Virus very well.. atleast not by EU standards

Closing down too later, opening up too soon (Saw something about the US reopening even whilst infection rate was increasing, something not seen in EU, according to said article)

I go out. Upstate NY is doing well, we're past the worst of it and it seems like people here are smart, even Trump supporters. I don't go stupid though, I still prefer staying outside than inside with strangers, I stay out of stores unless I need something, and I don't do anything I don't have to like eat inside a restaurant. Then again that's how I've always been, so it's easy for me.

Yeah, its pretty safe where I live. We only had like 260 cases here since it started.

It is not at its highest ever. It is in like one state. But despite all these new cases the hospitals aren't overloaded like in the beginning and the deaths are not the same. So either the virus is weakening or they're just lying. Probably both. I put nothing past the United States government.

I don't understand why everyone doesn't just wear a mask everywhere outside. It's barely an inconvience at all, and it can easily save a strangers life. It makes no sense.

But what is the point of wearing it outside? I can understand in stores or other crowded areas, but walking on the sidewalk or in a park?

Even medical professionals, those who wear masks as PPE for work, etc., know that masks are only effective for so long and only wear them when it is required. Is it 'required' (other than by law in some places) to wear a mask at 9PM on an empty sidewalk walking a dog?

uhhhh Florida Arizona and Texas have hospitals near or at ICU capacity
