I ordered a new trash bin to replace my old one and it came recently. When the garbage collector arrived, someone waited until my new trash bin was emptied and then swapped my new one for their old trash bin.

Lmao people are ridiculous. Who does this?

Yeah, Ive been thinking about calling and getting this resolved. Its not the biggest deal in the world but it is ridiculous that someone went through the effort of doing this.

Do your garbagemen get out and empty them on their own or do they have the claw on their trucks? If they had two garbagemen picking up cans on both sides of the street maybe they just mixed up which can went to which house

Nah, but I figure they have to be someone very close by unless they used a pick up truck in broad daylight.

Its one garbage man using claws from the truck. In the past, one will drive and another will be riding on the back to manually empty each trash bin but I havent seen them to do in a very long time.

oh yes, i had a neighbor a few years ago get a pretty big fine because he took a couple garbage cans from a business. they were able to track them specifically because of the serial numbers on the cans.

I think part of it is because I was away for several months taking care of my dad, so my bin wasnt being used at all by me. I just dont understand dumping piles of branches in there, lol.

Oh, thats a huge problem in my neighborhood especially with the younger kids. Many of them are just lazy and go to other peoples trash bins to with their garbage. Some of them leave their dogs shit in other peoples yard as well.

I live in a nice neighborhood but a lot of bullshit goes down here. We had to call the police a few years ago because my neighbors daughter was having sex with her boyfriend in the car on the side of the road during the day. The windows were down so you could easily see them.

I came home late last night in August 2019 to see one of my neighbors daughter in law naked on the driveway pissing because she got in a argument with her husband and wanted to get back at him. I watched the police arrive and handcuff her lol

I love Columbus. Cincinnati is average. No opinion on Toledo or Akron. Akron seemed okay. Toledo seemed boring and hick filled but wasn't there long enough to judge.

Cleveland is fucking garbage, especially the north side. I've seen some wild shit there. Only time I ever had a gun pulled on me was outside of the Grog Shop at 6 p.m.

Everyone just walked by as a strung out meth head tried to rob my wife and me.

Saw an on duty cop buying a 12pk of beer while three dudes emptied a blunt onto the floor and roll up weed. Left the gas station to find a bunch of dudes catcalling my wife who was sitting in the car.

Got followed and called gay slurs because I was wearing a flannel shirt.

Had people on numerous occasions try to sell me drugs in broad daylight.

Yeah, fuck Cleveland.

Columbus is pretty nice. I like visiting there every now and then. Cincinnati is alright but I wouldnt live there. It can get dangerous at night. Cleveland is super fucked. Youre super right about that. I stay as far away as possible if I can. Glad you and your wife didnt get hurt because Ive known many who have been jumped by random people or had their car vandalized while passing through or staying in Cleveland temporarily.

I live in the Dayton area where its not as bad as Cleveland but theres a lot of nonsense that goes around here. Its become worse over the years with the peak being that mass shooting from last year.

I would say that Colorado is very nice from my multiple visits out there especially if youre an outdoors person. The Midwest of the States dont offer much and the South of the States is full of racism and ignorant people. For someone visiting the United States, they would need to do a lot of research as there are many states/cities where the experience is miserable.

For example, I would never go back to Kansas or Mississippi. Im from Florida and there are many towns I avoid whenever I return to visit family. I cant bring to describe the amount of times Ive seen senior citizens begging for food in parking lots because they suffer from mental illnesses partially due to all the hard drugs that are easily accessible.

When my grandmother passed away, we sold the house and the people who bought it turned the house into a meth lab. The local news covered it and the house was torn down. The state of Florida is just so sad.

It depends where you reside. In my case the trash is all done by the city so they issue bins. Some places the trash service is all privatized.

Cleveland is more defined by East/West. You were on the East side which definitely has a worse reputation. Parts of it are nice though.
