I understand that reddit is a circle jerk but this place is almost the opposite. Make a topic here and the only people that respond are the people that disagree with you. Hell, the first posters goal 90% of the time is to destroy your topic before it even starts.

No wonder people troll on here. Giving a dissenting opinion seems to be the only way to get an interaction

Reddit is a safe-space echo chamber for SJW's. I personally can't stand that "safe space" mentality. It's weak, pathetic, and you're just blocking out things you don't want to hear. Those things still exist though. Just because you aren't seeing or hearing them, doesn't mean they just disappear. Ignoring things won't further anything anywhere.

I'm new here, but I like that there's no hive-mind echo chamber, and the moderation is light. Reddit is heavily modified. if the sub owner disagrees with your opinion, it's deleted. Here, you can debate a lot more without the fascist censorship that comes with reddit.

People get moderated for other things besides swearing and those moderations have got more harsh. For example I have got warned in the past year more often than I used to but my posting style hasn't changed much. I personally think moderators are holding past moderations against you even when they are not in your history. Like many things there is no way to prove this though

I used to post on a board called LUE way back in the early 00's. It was a sorta-secret board where they looked the other way when it came to a lot of content that should have been moderated. Eventually they quarantined the board and no one else could enter. At some point I did or said something to get banned (I forget what) and never returned to gamefaqs until now! I think LUE still exists, but it's impossible to enter anymore.

You just reminded me why I got banned

My username was Gigglephuck and after having that username for 2 YEARS the mods then decided it wasn't an appropriate username and banned the account and refused to transfer my karma to another and refused to let me back in to LUE. That really soured me on gamefaqs for a long time.
