Like the entire premise is she is in her 40s and quickly growing less fertile, so she is going to choose one of those guys to nut inside her and make a baby as quick as possible, no subtlety about it...I'm reminded of that Simpsons episode where Kent Brockman comes to live with them.

It's about getting married and starting a family, not impregnating her.

Like it's still weird but it's not like they're competing to see who is the most virile or has the strongest sperm or something.

pretty much, yea. From the few clips i've seen (mainly from commercials) they try to push this idea of romance blooming and a long term thing happening, but on the surface its just a contest to get her pregnant.

A more entertaining show would be mixing the sperm of 15 different contestants into a single syringe, impregnating mama, and then having the contests where she would rank the competitors. Then you do a paternity test on the baby at the end.

Imagine the reverse premise a 40 year old man wants to have a child to experience fatherhood so contestants have to line up and show they have the best genetics to help him carry his child.

No way it would even leave the producers desk lmao

I saw the first episode but haven't followed it since. I still don't get if she will actually fuck the winner or just use a turkey baster to get knocked up

also it might be sad but it's really not a good idea for her to be doing this. by the time you hit 40, pregnancy is very dangerous. women really only have about a 30 year window (20 though if you follow modern society laws) to have a safe pregnancy

Just make said 40 year old handsome and super wealthy.....I dont think that concept then may just get a pass.
Edit: In regards to the show does anyone know why they chose a 40 year specifically? Rather then just throwing a dart at the sea of young fertile woman there are?

Either that, or just your typical E!/MTV style of reality show following the family around. Even better if the guy leaves and she becomes a single mother. that shit sells.

Well, let's do the math. If you establish the end of the safe period at 40, and then say that society's view of the safe window is 20 years, that would put it at 20 to 40...and then if you say your personal window would be 30 years, that makes it...anybody?

Because you are willfully ignoring biological science, we're not saying it's right but it's possible and in human history you can't argue that age frame is when most women carry children.

This looks like you saying that I'm ignoring biological science while also saying that a safe pregnancy window starts at 10, but that would be ridiculous, so that can't be right.

yes yes. I wasn't hiding it. I was saying that girls can start reproducing around 12 or so. but I also said that modern society doesn't let them until they are like 10 years older. I covered it all in that post. it's not some big gotcha. ooooooh! I said something that is a biological fact we all know is real. how dare I......

If we're being scientifically accurate (and according to historical record) in today's values, culture and law it isn't accept of course and no one in here ARGUING for that but from 13-38 is what you would describe the scientific curve if you were to model it in a curve graph, ofc there are outliers in that data.

Even 13 sounds kind of young. I have a cousin who got pregnant at 15 and biologically everything was fine. But mentally she was incapable of raising a child as she was a child herself. The child was raised by grandmother and is relatively ok.

well that's more cause of modern culture. we grow up slower than we did thousands of years ago. a 15 year old girl that lived 5 thousand years ago was considered a grown adult woman. and probably already had like 3 children by that age.
