I respect that you've renounced your vote him. But you cannot say that you didn't know he was corrupt as fuck if you knew literally anything about his history.

I saw Bolton say that the scope of the impeachment was way too narrow and if it focused on all of Trump's crimes more would have been exposed. However I'm not so sure Bolton would have testified either way. The stuff coming out of this book is pretty fucking awful though jesus christ.

Trump was going to be acquitted no matter who testified. Senate Republicans were committed to clearing Trump of any wrongdoing no matter what Bolton said. They could've had audio and video of him saying what Bolton alleges in the book and Moscow Mitch would at most say that he is "troubled" by such revelations.

I always knew he was a corrupt and toxic person to his core, hell that's been his public persona for 20 years and people loved to hate him, but I never expected the level of sheer incompetence he has displayed

They're not trying to sue on libel grounds, which they surely would if they were disputing the veracity of the content.

If they're claiming that the stuff in the book is classified, then by definition they have to be acknowledging that it's accurate.

Which means that should anything come of these revelations in terms of legal action being taken against Trump, and defence the White House tries to put up is surely already absolutely obliterated by the fact that they've already submitted legal documents to the courts saying it's true.

My favourite part of the leaks which I've read is how trump and the US had no strategy to deal with china and policies were made in a completely chaotic way.

It shows so badly as well, trump is way out of his league dealing with China, the man closely doesnt understand the importance of strategy.

Dont get me wrong not confident in biden either, however I'm hoping that:

1) his experience in politics may help a lot.
2) he may actually listen to advisers who do understand strategy.
3) he wont antagonize every other country on this earth including allies and potential allies making China stronger.

We have a very similar issue in the uk with boris johnson (labelled the British trump), the conservative party and brexit.

The difference is we cant reverse Brexit and wont have the chance to vote boris and the conservative party out until 4 years time, meanwhile we have the highest death toll in Europe and are on set to have the worst economic fallout of any g20 country.

I'm genuinely envious that you lot may have the chance to undo the damage that trump has done soon.

C'mon man, the guy couldn't successfully run a casino. The sheer amount of business endeavors he's failed at and had to declare bankruptcy on tells you everything you need to know about his incompetence. Like I said, I'm glad people are coming around but to pretend that the writing wasn't on the wall from the start is disingenuous. It was always there, either people didn't care, or chose to ignore it.

I understand this argument and don't disagree with it.

But, currently, there's only one real reason to focus on that instead of the actual allegations - and that's to avoid focusing on the actual allegations.

The bottom line is that, if true, Trump needs to be removed from power and tried for treason.
