Despite all the recent spikes, after only 3 months of not being able to do things like go to a restaurant or get a haircut people are over it now. The amount of people I see wearing masks has gone way down and people are barely keeping the 6 feet of distance.

It goes to show that people will care about the common good for a max of a couple weeks and then start complaining and just say things like "Well if Grandma dies, that's okay, I need to get drunk at a bar."

Most people didn't even care about it when thousands of people were dying a day.

Now that we're not hitting those numbers people just care less then they did prior.

People are acting like it's not even there anymore when there are more cases now and more chance to spread.

oh yeah, by the end of the month I guarantee most people will have stopped caring about George Floyd and the protests

about two weeks to a month seems to be the longest most people can have empathy for anything that doesn't directly affect them

I still see a ton of people wearing masks but also see a ton of people not wearing them. It all really just comes down to the types of areas.

Also, living in a state with a beach Im seeing and hearing a ton of people from then north coming down for the beaches. I saw Wisconsin earlier today.

People never did keep the six foot rule here.

In fairness, you just about can't but most people never even tried.

They lifted the lockdown when it started feeling like summer. I think the natural feeling of wanting to go out at this time of year is overwhelming the fear of the virus itself.

Doesn't mean it isn't dangerous.

Did anyone think anything else would happen? Once the lockdowns were over thats it, they arent coming back. I'm sure some cities/states will try them again, but at this point most people, and certainly all businesses, will just tell the government to go fuck themselves. If retail stores are shut down during the Christmas season they go out of business. ALL of them.

This. The collective human conscious is apparently only capable of caring about one thing at a time. They will fucking die on that hill for a few weeks but, as soon as something else pops into the newsfeed, they forget all about it.

It's flaring up again where I'm at and I would put more into the cities where people don't care as much. That's why I say come out of the cities if you can, that's where it'll be most dangerous.

Sadly people didn't care from the offset.

Trump lied about it repeatedly.

Then most people ignored lockdowns.

Now people are all hyped up protesting.

Yeh the second wave is going to be awful. America just seems to have decided that old people and at risk people are just going to have to die for the sake of haircuts

Remember when Obama was accused of death pannels?

Depends on where you go where I am. Go to the store and the majority of people are still wearing masks. The hotel/casino where I work, maybe 5 guests total have masks.
