It raises the odds of not splitting the pot with anybody else because a vast majority of people play dates. If I use the quick pick, I have to check the ticket and compare it to the winning numbers. If I pick the same numbers every time, I can see in an instant if there are any matches. It was my close families birthday day numbers anyway.
