I wish I had more chances to play offline but I haven't got the opportunity. I'm more curious how Pichu would fare offline since this is a character that I have exclusively played online. I would assume things like getting jab locks out of nair or tjolt would be easier online since it's harder to tech. I know a big reason Rat beat MKLeo in that online tourney was because MKLeo wasn't hitting his techs and getting jab lock by Pichu near the ledge isn't an ideal scenario. AceAttorneyist posted... Gut feeling tells me Pichu would be about the same offline or even slightly better because things like tjolt will be a little easier to react to, but your combos will be much more crisp offline. the biggest problem is what you mentioned which is the ability to react to things. I can't tell you the number of times (as I'm sure you can relate) a tech is missed or you see what the opponent is doing, but you can't react to it because it's online. There are times when I neutral get up and try to shield or spot dodge and the input is to delayed and I just get crushed vs offline where a lot of times you can react. It's really like a different game. The online input buffer is also way worse. Still not on your guys' level I don't think and I can definitely only play that well with Pirahna Plant, but I got a couple wins, so I feel like I have improved some.
