Closest is Spiderman and RE8, but those are a ways off

me too. I think the story has potential to be one of the great video game plots of all history. I know we don't know really what it's about but going off the clues in the trailer i have a theory and if it's true it could be one of the greatest video game stories ever.

dinosaur teens about to graduate high school millions of years ago right before the extinction event that ends the world for dinosaurs. if that is what it is, and they tell the story right, it could be an amazing thing

We were promised groundbreaking and "paradigm shifting" but we got more of the same. The stuff that did stand out, stood out in negative ways like that cringy furry shit high school "game".

The only game that really showed off new tech that can be seen in a stream is Ratchet with the instant loading of assets in an SSD. In some ways the whole basis of the game seems designed just to show off SSD asset loading.

The games look different and good but still too artsy. Death loop looks good. Hitman 3 if you are into that. Racing games are also becoming really good.

To be fair it's pretty obvious most of the stuff shown was well into PS4 development so I guess it's understandable.

I really don't even think developers have even capped the ps4 yet. The ps5 will have faster load times etc , etc.. Games already look really good. I don't see a huge jump in graphics. Games are obviously all 4k with added details. But it's the same action, artsy crap.

What about the project athia game? (Forget what it was called)

The vast majority of titles showed off are "I'll get it when it's $10 on Steam" type of games. They didn't look awful, but they didn't look like $60 purchases, let alone "let me buy a new console to get it" games.

That little devil inside game looks pretty cool. The games look action packed and fun. I'm not sure about the art style in some of them.

I am a microsoft person to be fair, but I did not see a single game from either Microsoft or Sony that I thought looked good, at least for what I enjoy in games. I will probably get the Xbox Series X in a few years when something big drops, unless they got something huge planned for their first party conference which I doubt but we will see. Next gen is not looking too good so far lol.

That playstation controller and console tho...yikes.

Not enough stuff had release dates. Horizon 2 didn't even have a year listed. The best games are still crossgen.

But it's not overly surprising. Playstations often have slow starts.
