that's the fucker that tried to put the blame on the unarmed civilian witnesses. saying the murder wasn't his fault because the civilians didn't stop him and his coworkers

His family apparently also did a fundraiser on a quick google search.

The rookie cop who asked if Floyd should be rolled over.

No he didn't. That was his lawyer while talking to Chris Cuomo.

Lane will probably get off. He was the only one that expressed any concern several times and it was his 4th day on the job.

Im confused by this. I thought bail was the amount you had to put down in order to get out of jail. In this case $750k.

and you think the lawyer just blurted that out without talking to his client? and I have not seen Lane disavow it. until he does, I say he approves of the lawyer's tactic

10% is what he's paying to the bail bond company that pays the rest of the bail.

Nah, the lawyer is old and got flustered. It was a very dumb thing to point out, but he said that's not something that will be used in court. He said Lane's bodycam reveals all this and that he was in the ambulance trying to administer CPR. He was the only one with a little shred of humanity and it will help him get off.

Not justifying any of this. Just saying what will end up happening.

Bail is meant to be posted. I don't get why people are so surprised when it is posted. A bigger problem is that people are sitting in jail pre-trial on a bail they could never afford.

Don't they often subtract that amount of time from the sentence anyway? Guess it wouldn't matter much if you get life though.

It is, but bail bondsmen will put up the money if you pay them 10%. You get bail back once you show up to trial, its only to make sure you go. So the bondsman makes your 10% he keeps and gets back the rest from the court.

oh so that cop will not get his 75k back? if he raised the whole 750k by himself then he would get it all back?

If he used a bondsman then he will pay 75k to them, correct. In this case I wouldnt be shocked if somebody paid it for him due to the political nature of it.

if lane had a single shred of humanity he would have pulled out his gun and threatened his coworkers to back the fuck way from the victim.

he did not do that. fuck him and I hope he rots in prison for the rest of his life

Even discounting that it wasn't Lane himself saying it, I don't think that user even gave an accurate representation of what the lawyer started to argue. This case is going to come down to whether or not Lane had a duty to try to physically intervene rather than just verbally, and as shitty as it is I'm pretty sure it's going to end up at an argument that Lane did not have any more of a duty to physically intervene than the bystanders did.

Lane had a gun. the witnesses did not. also the witnesses did not have state given power. Lane was empowered by the state with power. he was in a position where he could saved George Floyd's life. he failed to uphold what was just and humane. he is a disgrace
